Some Information For Our Potential New Recruits

Welcome to Wolves American Football

Perhaps you saw one of the many recruitment posters which we have in place around Coventry, Warwick and Leamington, perhaps you received a personal invite from one of our players, or perhaps you decided that this was the sport for you, simply through playing Madden on PlayStation. However you got here, thanks for taking the time to look at what we have to offer, and we hope that we will be lining up alongside you for the forthcoming season. It promises to be an exciting time for the club, and we hope that you will want to be a part of it.

Please understand that this is far more than just rugby in pads.  Through hardwork and rigorous training you will have the priviliage of donning a helmet, shoulder pads, and the proud colours of the Wolves to enter a world of playmakers and hard tackles. You will be supported by our highly experienced coaching staff and the strange effect that our cheerleaders appear have on young men!!! When you become part of the Wolves you become part of a real family determined to bring out the best in you on and off the field.

Wolves players consistently go on to the university All-Star team, become successful players on senior league teams, and some even go on to represent Great Britian in the sport.  Many have done so without ever playing the game prior to becoming a Warwick Wolf. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us, and one of the exec committee will get back to you as soon as they can to answer your questions.

By joining the Wolves, you will be playing for a team that is in the top league of university level American Football in the Britain. Membership also guarantees entry into one of the best social scenes at the University of Warwick. Absolutely anyone can join regardless of prior experience and regular games ensures everyone game time.

Our training sessions are currently held on Wednesdays (19:00-21:30) and Sundays (10:00 onwards) at Westwood Campus Sports Centre. Follow the Directions link in the "BACKGROUND" section on this site if you need to know the way.

Our socials are usually held at Robbin's Well in Leamington Spa where we gather to watch NFL games on Sky (Sunday evenings) or at Top Banana at Warwick Students Union on Mondays nights.
